EmmeDue Architecture was born from a lifelong relationship between craft, materiality, and the enduring beauty of place. Rooted in the heritage of Liguria, Italy, and refined through years of practice across the United States, our work carries forward a philosophy that design must resonate with emotion, memory, and context.

The firm’s foundation stems from decades of hands-on experience — from metal fabrication and mechanical systems to high-end custom residential and building envelope design. This broad, tactile background allows our team to approach architecture not only as designers but as builders who understand how ideas are assembled, detailed, and endure over time.

Our approach is informed by generations of craftsmanship. Early influences from reclaimed hillside homes and the artistic sensibility of an impressionist painter instilled a deep respect for authenticity, balance, and the interplay of light and material. Today, those same principles guide how we shape every space — creating architecture that feels timeless, grounded, and emotionally resonant.

EmmeDue Architecture draws on the Principal’s formal education from Pennsylvania State University and North Carolina State University, where recognition for design excellence shaped a rigorous yet poetic design ethos. Our practice combines the discipline of academic study with the ingenuity gained through diverse professional experiences — spanning automotive design, patent development, and advanced building envelope systems.

With extensive field knowledge — from HVAC installation to carpentry and structural coordination — we bring a rare combination of creative vision and technical expertise to each project. EmmeDue Architecture is a licensed practice operating throughout California and across the United States. Our portfolio includes custom residences, boutique commercial projects, adaptive reuse developments, and technical consulting for complex envelope systems. Over the past decade, we have successfully permitted projects in more than two dozen jurisdictions, translating intricate design visions into built realities that meet the highest standards of performance and craft.

Our specialized experience in building envelope design, constructability consulting, and forensic investigations informs much of our approach to durability and detailing.
