Vestiges In The Wild
The Summers' House was conceived in response to the challenging nature of its site. The family appreciated their privacy, at the same time a deep love for nature. This high end residential project was designed to minimally disturb the land and fit naturally into its place.
With its living spaces nestled and suspended between retaining walls to resemble ruins surrounded by overgrowing nature, it was dubbed by Matteo "Vestiges in the Wild". the modern infill spaces subtly change level throughout the house as to experience the the site underneath its floors, open facades on the North West side of the house frame beautiful views of nature beyond the living spaces.
